Universal Luxury Kitchen, Illinois
The homeowner wanted to create a casual living and entertaining hub on the main floor of this new construction home. The flow of the space needed to promote seamless movement and interaction between the kitchen, informal eating, and living rooms. Functionally, the client required the space to incorporate several universal design principles and elements.
The interior aesthetic was to introduce natural light and natural materials to create a warm and inviting area. The client also wanted to include some unique elements that would attract the eye, as well as reflect his tastes and affinity for contemporary art. The end goal was to create a modern, open-concept kitchen/living room that is spacious and functional without feeling overly grand.
