The clients wanted to start fresh in their kitchen and make it their own. They desired to add a new window for additional light and a new additional patio door. The main floor was raised to meet the mudroom height and new hardwood flooring was then installed.

A new, large custom square island was built to serve as a center focal point with a built-in convection microwave and plumbing added for the new prep sink. Custom, floor-to-ceiling white cabinetry with architectural detail and lighted glass displays created a fresh clean palette. The dark quartz countertops create contrast and tie the space back to the rich wood of the mudroom through the new arched doorway.

The pantry was reconfigured. A paneled fridge, freezer, and dishwasher were installed to stay hidden within the design. A new apron sink and faucet create a nice vignette under the new window and the soft-hued glass tile backsplash with a patterned accent take it from a traditional style kitchen to a more modern look and feel.
