Lori & Bill Hanson live in Yorkville, IL, and recently had Lori's mother move in with them in her older age. They love their family home in Yorkville, where they raised their children, but it was in desperate need of updating. They have done some minor updates in other parts of the home, but they have been saving and waiting to remodel their kitchen, as it is the center of their home and main entertaining space. They researched good remodelers in the area, loved the online reputation of HDC, and HDC came highly recommended by Lori's brother; who worked across the street from HDC's main office.

For their kitchen remodel, they decided to remove all of the existing soffits, change the existing doorways/openings, change the entire kitchen layout, purchase brand-new kitchen appliances, and add an extension of cabinetry into the dining room as a coffee station. They also included replacing all of the existing pergo flooring for luxury laminate plank flooring, replacing all of the existing trim with larger profile trim, painting most of the first floor common areas, and replacing the common area flush panel doors for six-panel, stained doors. Doug Panozzo was the Project Manager and Kasia Obrzud was the Designer. Ultimately, Lori & Bill were very pleased with their design & construction experience, and they loved the finished product of their remodel project with HDC.
