This homeowner had a very outdated kitchen in dire need of a refresh. The lack of space, inefficient storage space, and the old layout made it difficult for the kitchen to meet the needs of a growing family. With some careful planning and precise execution, this kitchen was transformed into a space perfect for the home entertainer.

The customer had expressed that the old kitchen island's shape interfered with the kitchen's flow and didn't offer much regarding seating. The expanded and straightened countertop not only affords more room for guests or family members but also makes cooking and preparing food much easier. The new layout of the kitchen also included a butler's pantry with a hidden beverage fridge where there had previously been unutilized space. The existing kitchen cabinets were extended to add much more storage space.

By adjusting the layout of the laundry and mudroom, removing an unused closet, and adding lockers to the laundry room, the kitchen has now become a much larger and more open space, perfect for entertaining.
